Dybbuk New York
Dybbuk was built for the ones who take risks and put in the work.
It started as a personal project by Donny, a response to how skateboarders have long been used as free advertising by big corporations. Skaters put their bodies on the line, pushing limits and repping brands that toss them a box of freebies and call it support. Meanwhile, the suits stay safe behind desks and collect the profits.
Instead of waiting around for a break that might never come, Donny took control. He learned how to make small-batch, high-quality pieces that would pay skaters directly, no middlemen, no begging for sponsorships, just ownership.
The name “Dybbuk” comes from the word for a possessive spirit, a metaphor for the way today’s consumers are owned by mega-corporations through slick marketing and constant conditioning. Dybbuk’s mission is to break that grip, proving that small independent brands can deliver better design, higher quality, and more ethical production.
What began as a skate-focused project has grown far beyond that world.
